Over the last 35 years, I have built 10 companies to 7 and 8 figures; and sold 4 for multiple millions. In my first company, I grew quickly but had no idea how to scale. I had a team, but I was not delegating properly and I did not have a strong foundation to help sustain the growth. Let’s face it. Yes, I was a control freak. I was so afraid that if I let go, everything would fall apart. The truth: I was choking the growth of my business, and myself. I literally fell apart physically and emotionally from overwork and then almost died from a near fatal car accident brought on by exhaustion and stress. You might even relate.
I walked away from it all and vowed to figure this business thing out. Once I figured out the formula to scale over 20 years ago, everything changed. I went on to build 9 more companies that I have had a blast with.
For the past 10 years in my company, Pinnacle Global Network, my team of CEO Mentors and I have advised thousands of business owners elevate and scale. I wrote a Wall Street Journal Best Selling Book, called Scale or Fail, that is endorsed by Daymond John and Barbara Corcoran of Shark Tank.
